Refund Policy

At Statera Osteopathy, I strive to provide high-quality osteopathic care and excellent customer service. This Refund Policy outlines the circumstances under which refunds may be issued for my services.

1. Missed Appointments

If you miss 3 appointments within a calendar year, you will be charged a flat rate fee of £100 or refused service.

2. Treatment Dissatisfaction

If you are dissatisfied with your osteopathic treatment, please discuss your concerns with me. I am committed to working with you to address any issues and find solutions that meet your needs.

3. Refunds

Refunds are generally not provided for osteopathic services, as they are considered professional services rendered (see below for a more detailed explanation). This means that osteopathic treatments are a professional service that, once provided, cannot be undone. The benefits may not be immediate or easily measured, and can vary depending on the individual. Even if the desired outcome isn't achieved, it doesn't mean the treatment was ineffective. Additionally, the preventative nature of osteopathy makes it hard to assess immediate results and justify a refund. However, I may consider issuing a refund under the following exceptional circumstances:

  • Medical Contraindication: If I determine that further treatment is medically contraindicated, I may issue a partial or full refund for any remaining sessions if you have a package deal.

  • Administrative Error: If an error on my part results in a missed appointment or incorrect billing, I will issue a refund for any affected services.

4. Refund Process

If you believe you are eligible for a refund, please contact me. I will review your request and respond within 5 business days.

5. Refund Method

Refunds will be issued using a bank transfer only.

6. Disputes

If you have a dispute regarding a refund, please contact me. I will work with you to resolve the issue in a fair and timely manner.

Please Note: This Refund Policy is subject to change. I encourage you to review this policy periodically.

Rendered services:

  • Professional services rendered: Osteopathic treatments involve the expertise and skills of a trained professional. Once the osteopath has performed the treatment, the service has been provided and cannot be "undone" or returned.

  • Intangible nature of the service: Unlike a physical product, the benefits of osteopathic treatment may not be immediately apparent or quantifiable. It might take time for the patient to experience any positive effects, and the results can vary from person to person.

  • Subjectivity of outcomes: The success of osteopathic treatment can be subjective, depending on the patient's individual condition, expectations, and response to treatment. Even if a patient doesn't experience the desired outcome, it doesn't necessarily mean the service wasn't performed competently.

  • Preventative nature: Osteopathic treatment often focuses on preventing future problems or managing chronic conditions. This proactive approach makes it difficult to measure the immediate impact of treatment or to determine whether a refund is warranted.
